Festival 39

Festival 39 is one of my favorite places in Bucharest. It's the perfect cafe for a Sunday morning. You go there around 11 o'clock, you drink a Honey-Bunny cafe while you wait for the best chicken burrito you ever ate in your entire life. Meanwhile, you can enjoy the old epoque music and take a look at the street life. Festival 39 is near Unirea square, so there are always different kind of people taking a walk just outside your window. It' s strange feeling to be in such a relaxing and cozy place, but still feel the fuzz that surrounds you.
To make your day even better, you can order a desert...they are just perfection! Even if the prices are quite expensive, you deserve a treat once in a while!Go for it!

Earth Hour

Don't forget about Earth Hour! Tomorrow, at 20.00 o'clock, turn off all the electrical devices in your home. This is a echo-challenge for all the people that give a crap about Earth and the way we destroy it every day, even if we like to say that we are developing a modern society. Don't forget! This planet is everybody's ,but not nobody's!

Are you getting tired of pc and consoles games? Why not enjoy a evening with your friends playing billiard games? At Texas Club( Splaiul Independentei nr. 290) you can find 28 game tables made by Brunswick Billiards, the best crafter in the world. You may play pool, snooker, ping-pong and bowling. While calculating the best shot, you are able to enjoy a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and you can also watch a sport game on the screens near the bar.

Dr.Grigore Lese: Horea in grumaz-Gherasim Cartita

Let' go tonight at 18.00 o'clock to understand a bit of our traditions. Gherasim Cartita is one of the last authentic folk singer who sings with all his soul. I guarantee that his music will make time stop for a minut...
Nothing is more impressive than the power of our roots. Even if we live in a modern world, we have fancy dresses, we eat ultra-processed food and we use internet more often than we use the toilet, our feelings and thoughts still have a scent of old Romania.

Jumper

Based on an intriguing idea (a genetic anomaly allows a young man to teleport himself anywhere), the movie offers you a special effect tour around the world. You have to see this in the theaters for amazing landscapes and city scenes. From the Colosseum in Rome, to the pyramids in Egypt... Besides that , I wasn't very impressed!Too much setup. This entire film should have been the first half-hour of a bigger story. So in conclusion Jumper is a fun, action packed, special effects heavy movie that will entertain you if you don't have too high hopes for it. It's not going to win any Oscars but that doesn't matter and it has potential for some good sequels.

Recommended only for days when you just want to be entertained...

Broadway.Bucuresti.

If you want to enjoy a mix of scenes from the most fabulous american musicals( Cabaret, West Side Story, Cats, Evita etc.), go at Teatrul National de Opereta "Ion Dacian"on 16 march at 19.00 o'clock. Trust me, it will be fun! It' s a must see for Razvan Mazilu's performance, Doina Levintza's costumes and for the unique feeling that art transcends time and space...
